As part of my honors college curriculum, I completed an honors thesis titled Genocide Dressed in Jeans: Does Sharing a Narrative About the Uyghur Population Alter Opinions about Fast Fashion. This research stemmed from my experiences studying abroad in the summer of 2022, where I learned about the minority ethnic group behind the production of major fast fashion retailers.
I am proud to share that my thesis was honored with the ‘Outstanding Thesis’ Award, selected from all business honors students’ papers, at the Walton Honors ceremony before graduation. Additionally, I received fourth place in the Undergraduate Research Symposium Poster Competition held by the University.
Below, you’ll find photos of the award ceremonies and a copy of my 32-page thesis. Countless hours went into crafting this paper, and I am immensely grateful for the recognition these achievements bring!
